Romans 8:31-39, Inseparable

Key Verse

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
— Romans 8:38-39

RCL Daily Devotion for Friday, September 20, 2019

RCL Daily Devotions written by R. Fergus Moir from RCL Worship Resources (see more).

It doesn’t matter how bad things get. God is there. Right there with us. Suffering with us and loving us through the pain. No one ever said life was going to be easy. And certainly no one said following Jesus was going to be easy.

But what incomprehensible love! What joy to know that nothing—nothing!—can separate us from the love of God.

We are, none of us, ever alone, ever without the loving presence of the One who is in and through us and all of creation.

Ever-present God, I give thanks that you are always with me no matter what. Amen.
