ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ . . .
I admit, sometimes I feel like the Psalmist, who in verse 23 pleads with God to wake up!
Sometimes it does feel like God is sleeping. With all the injustice in the world, it’s easy to lose perspective. It’s also easy to get the wrong picture, too. In fact, in our world today RELATIVELY there is much less violence and inequity as in the past. However, it’s still there.
And listening, reading or watching the news on TV doesn’t make it easy. It’s simple to believe that everything has gone sour.
Trusting in God is more difficult. But we are invited to be in a relationship with God, and even scream at God to WAKE UP when we feel like God has been slacking off!
That’s the gift of a relationship—we’re allowed to be ourselves and to proclaim what’s on our minds.
What do you wish God would wake up for today?
