Esther 7:1-10, Evil Loses in the End

Key Verse

Then Queen Esther answered, ‘If I have won your favour, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me—that is my petition—and the lives of my people—that is my request.
— Esther 7:3

RCL Daily Devotion for Monday, April 29, 2019

RCL Daily Devotions written by Daniel D. Maurer from RCL Worship Resources (see more).

Esther is an amazing story in the Bible. I think my favorite part of it is that all the evil dudes eventually get their comeuppance.

Life isn’t always like that, is it?

Today, we see the evil winning sometimes, day after day.

However, trusting in the promises, we know that we, too, like Esther, will experience the day when all things will be set right. We need only be patient.

Have you ever read the whole Book of Esther in the Bible? It’s really pretty amazing.
