When you hear another healing story from the Bible, do you have the same reaction as me?

Meh.

Another one…

Don’t misunderstand, I think the healing stories from the Bible are wonderful. If there’s any speck of truth to them, too, they meant a world of difference for the people who were healed, too!

It’s just that there seem to be so many of these healing stories, that, after a while, my eyes begin to glaze over and I don’t understand the point of them anymore.

That’s the other thing: there are so many different types of healing stories too. The blind see. The lame walk. The woman who bled for decades found permanent relief.

Maybe that’s the real bit of truth we can garner from these stories, that God is the one who heals, head to toes. Our entire lives and our bodies are on loan from God, that we might see that true healing comes through God touching each one of our hearts in the way that we need.

How does God heal your life?
